Hello and welcome to the Gill Makes Folksy shop! I make cushion covers and wall banners, taking inspiration mostly from music lyrics. Most of the items you see in my shop are usually one-offs or made in small limited quantities so that means there won't be many other people with the same item in their home as you!
I started Gill Makes in 2016 after I left London, however I have been making items including cards and cushions since 2011. I've always loved drawing and creating so studied Fashion & Textile Design at University in Liverpool before moving to the capital for work!
Home is currently Suffolk which is where I grew up however I also spend a lot of time in Liverpool and lots of my products take inspiration from the city.
Oh and I love music and festivals, bright colours, cats and the seaside! :)
