Esk Woodcraft

Unique, high quality handcrafted wooden oddities.

I am inspired by Japanese traditional craft techniques, especially within the field of woodworking and joinery. With a passion for furniture design but a lack of kit/funds to buy any, I am using what tools I have available to me in my tiny garage workspace to create high quality wooden jewellery, using the techniques that I learned at University studying Contemporary Design Crafts & Furniture. My main important tools are fine Japanese woodworking saws and also sharp vintage Sheffield steel chisels. These allow me to produce the highest quality cuts and joins for my work that you will see here.

Buying from me

I am open for commissions and custom orders, please feel free to contact me if you have any queries. All items are made using slow, energy efficient processes using a mixture of locally self-sourced native woods and sustainably sourced/up-cycled exotic woods.
Esk Woodcraft has monthly direct debits set up for Greenpeace and RSPB Charities, as well as % of profits from certain sales going to various charities such as Ocean Generation and The Black Curriculum.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
