“Handmade Metalwork with a Love of Texture”
Hi, I'm Flo, welcome to my shop.
I've been making all my life but my focus on metalwork was grounded when completing my BA in Jewellery and Metalwork. Since then I've worked in the silversmithing industry, self employed, freelance and have owned my own business. I completed my Masters in 2018 and now I also lecture in my field at Sheffield Hallam.
What you'll find in the shop are the one off pieces I make whenever I get the chance on the days I'm not lecturing or looking after my little girl. I love textures and tactility and I enjoy casting. Most of my pieces are sand cast, where molten metal is poured into a mould and over the stones, setting them at the same time as casting the piece.
