All my items are designed by me, often inspired by geometric shapes and bright colours.

Colourful Sustainable Statement Jewellery

Creativity has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Whether drawing, painting or making, I am at my happiest using my hands. I have always been drawn to vibrant colours, and turquoise, sparking memories of the sea and of happy summer days, weaves its way into much of my work.
 
I carried my young passion for colour and creativity into adulthood through my BA (hons) in Textile Design, leading me to work for various design companies in London including the renowned Liberties. But as a Devon girl at heart, the London life was not for me and the ocean was calling me home.
 
Fast forward several years of empowering students to find their own creative flare, my desire to get back to using my hands lead me to establish my beloved Dee Makes. Combining my love of colour, pattern and jewellery, wearable statement pieces have become my art form. For me, statement jewellery is so much more than a ‘pair of earrings’. It is personal and wearable art that can bring an outfit to life and make you feel amazing on night out, at a festival, or in the simple every day.
 
My aim is to bring both fun and elegance together in designs that are kind to the planet. Unlike other statement jewellery, my pieces are created with sustainable materials including hand-painted wood, brass and textiles.
 
Each item is handmade in my home studio in Devon, and each design is named in honour of beautiful locations across the county, from rural moorlands and chocolate box villages to dramatic and wild coastlines.
