Handmade bracelets, melted glass on copper, designed by flame

Hi

My name is Sharon and I am based based in Northamptonshire and I design and make all of the items that you see in my shop today.

I have always loved colour from making multi coloured teddy bears for my two boys when they were tiny, to dyeing my own scarves for that little something special to brighten a day.

When I was at a festival helping a friend with a stained glass project, I loved the way that glass shimmered and shone in a way that I had really never appreciated before, it was then I thought about how could I bring glass and it’s transforming quality into my life. After a little a little exploration I found enamelling and have never looked back.

I use a flame torch to melt the glass powder onto a copper base and seeing the flame interact with the powdered glass is a fascinating process and never ceases to amaze me, I never know the real outcome of colour of the glass until it has cooled.
Temperature and angle of flame dictates every process.
