I rescue, revive, revamp and relove!

Hi, I’m Stephen and welcome to Salvaged.

I work mainly with reclaimed wood and other salvaged items to produce one-off pieces ranging from small plaques to large storage chests, and everything in between! I love working with rescued materials, it’s fantastic to see the transformation from dull and discarded to new and fresh and it’s environmentally friendly – less landfill is always a good thing.

I enjoyed woodwork and making things when I was younger, so after retiring a few years ago, due to not so great health, I decided to pick up this long forgotten hobby again. Even though I spend a lot of time in my workshop (small shed, occasionally ‘borrowing’ the kitchen), I don’t produce masses of items. I like to incorporate different materials in my designs such as rope, metals or paper (decoupage) and have even been known to raid the cutlery drawer! I enjoy the whole process – musing, designing and creating and hope that you enjoy my finished items.
