About STEAMPUNKSTORM

STEAMPUNKSTORM

Handmade One of A Kind creations using bygone elements and treasures

Hello my name is Ingrid and welcome to my shop,

I am at a time in my life where I enjoy my life in Oxfordshire with my dachshund Mable and create jewellery while collecting vintage and sparkly things …. like a Magpie.

I have always been interested in geology and archaeology... two things which I think go hand in hand and compliment each other.
I have always thought that discarded and broken jewellery could be repurposed into unusual items in our modern world.

Early men and women adorned themselves with whatever the found in their surroundings and used their primitive tools to create beads, bracelets and necklaces. Archaeology has shown us that they used clay and bone and even amber.

Through the centuries as technology progressed the more beautiful gemstones were found and used. Today with even safer and deeper mining techniques new gemstones are being found as in the case of Tanzanite.

I have a wonderful collection of gemstones from around the world sourced from a reputable British gemstone house and wanted to use my jewellery making skills to create designs which you may not be able to find on our High streets combined with sterling silver and other precious metal elements.

I hope you will come back often to browse as I fill up .my shop.

Ingrid x

I have another shop on Folksy called https://folksy.com/shops/vintagedreams
