A cornucopia of art and craft items made by Sally!

Hello out there!
My name is Sally and I live with my family which includes Pickle the jackapoodle! Having grown up in a tiny Cheshire village (more cows than people) I often entertained myself by drawing, painting and making with fabric. Fast forward to a science degree and a career in Speech-language therapy, followed by one in Teaching. I've worked almost exclusively with tiny children and have been delighted by the amazing illustrations in so many of the books we shared. These really inspire me as does my love of all things found growing, fluttering and nesting in my wilderness of a garden. I try to recreate some of these delights in my needle felting projects and am just beginning to try out wire-work as another way of representing them...fascinating and frustrating at the same time!!
Lately I have re-discoverd the delights of acrylics, coloured inks and watercolours and working on a larger scale. I enjoy adding printed papers to my canvases too which makes for more texture and originality. Frankly I am abit of a dabbler with cupboards full of crafty 'swag' ...always looking for the next technique to try and never scared of a challenge XX
