I'm the Polly in PollyKrafts and I live with my husband and two spoilt cats in rural west Cornwall. At last I have the time to indulge in my love of all crafts, something I have longed to do all my life.
My grandmother brought me up and very patiently taught me to knit and crochet and sew as soon as I was old enough to hold the needles. I cannot remember a time when I wasn’t making and designing.
Over the years I have practiced a variety of crafts but now my passion is mostly with yarns and fabric although I do create in other mediums when the spirit moves! Nowadays I prefer to write my own crochet patterns to produce something which is completely my own. I like to use natural materials but sometimes I will use synthetic for example if the object might need to be frequently laundered. I also like to use recycled materials but will always tell if you they are used in the construction of any item. In either case I will tell you exactly what materials I have used in the item description
All the time I have lots of ideas buzzing around in my head and never make two things exactly the same. If you buy something from me you can be sure that you won't find another one. I love to sit in my Cornish garden knitting or doing my crochet in the sun, listening to the birds or the sound of the sheep in the field beyond. What more could anyone wish for?
