Uniquely Beautiful, Bespoke, Creations - LP Clocks, Canvas’ Pendants to CD Coasters and Christmas Decorations

Colour is Destiny
I started this journey in a serendipitous way. I made some coffee tables for my sons and thought – how could I make more BUT with what design. I then found Acrylic Paint Pouring and I was off. I started on some old cd’s and then thought of bigger – hence the LP’s. I put a call out on FB asking for any old LP’s. A local 2nd hand record shop said I could have his ‘landfill destined rubbish’. I had a large suitcase full of them and this is what I use for my LP Clocks so no records were harmed in this process and it gives these a new lease of life and they can continue to be of use. I now leave the flip side with the label showing and included this in the description as this may be of interest to a customer.

If you would like a commissioned LP Clock – then I am more than happy to create one - message me on the contact page and I will see what I can do for you?

You may ask the question - How many coffee tables have I made now?

The Answer is that I’ve upcycled with Acrylic Paint Pouring pre-existing tables but I haven’t created from scratch yet, I have some shapes cut out but haven’t completed them yet.

I get inspiration for all sorts of things but mainly the paints I have in my craft room. There are such lovely and beautiful colours to use and it’s such a great feeling mixing and making up my paint mixes ready to pour. I do love to experiment with things to pour through, I’m always on the lookout for different thing be it a drain pipe cover to stop debris or an interesting colander or just a cookie cutter.

I also upcycle furniture and have been doing this for years before I cottoned onto the fact that other people may be willing to purchase these types of items for the home. There is a lot sad, unloved brown furniture around which with a bit of imagination and paint can be transformed into something special and this is also a unique piece and it can be colour co-ordinated to its new surroundings.

I have my craft room at home and space is a bit limited but I have enough room for what I do-mainly. At the moment I work on small furniture pieces as I just don’t have the room for big items- that’s my dream to have enough workspace for large items as more of a challenge and the possibilities are endless.

I’ve just started my own YouTube Channel – its early days but I will be adding more videos as I go.

You may like to check out my first video where I get popped on by a local seagull – hazards of living in a seaside town like Scarborough, North Yorks.

This was an upcycling video so there will be both types on my channel and there may be some random ones possibly to do with our great British canals as I holiday on them with my husband, such great fun and we are so lucky to have these in the UK, we appreciate them very much.

**HANDBAGS** - I've started sewing handbags as it was something I'd wanted to do for a while and due to an illness, which I'm still getting through, sewing has been about the only pastime I've managed to do and Handbags is the results. I love making them and I've had good responses from customers who've bought them. Now I'm adding them on my Folksy shop too. The bags are roomy and have good zip pockets and slip pockets. I sourced the patterns online.

Thank you for your time if you have read this, thank you
