Ingredients on a Soap making day

Loving traditionally handmade soap, natural ingredients and being artists have come together, and we are excited to be producing this artisan range of soaps with a personal touch.

We have developed recipes that we use at home, have sourced simply accessories and make soap in our studio in small batches, that are then cut and packaged individually for you.

The name of the business is my grandmothers, Margaret May, which appears as MMaySoaps in the logo. Margaret May was a strong/feisty independent Somerset farmers wife. She set up several small business herself, but always felt held back by her time and was fascinated when I went to art school and then travelled. She would have loved this product and would have been familiar with soap making on the farm and during the war.
