Handmade Scented Candles For All

Hi, I’m Rhianna, the face behind LuxeScentsByRhi.
Throughout my life I have always been anxious and as I got older the feeling of anxiety grew, anything can be quite nerve wracking to me including simple acts such as answering the phone or going to the shops. There is quite a large number of people suffering from anxiety in the UK alone (found in news articles).

Before I started this business I was always turning to candles to give me some sort of happiness and they would help calm my nerves as I have always been quite overwhelmed with anxiety and small feelings of depression. I’m pretty sure lots of people love the feeling of lighting a candle and letting the beautiful aromas take over the room as you wind down after a long day, or is it just me...?

I eventually decided to start LuxeScentsByRhi which originally was pet safe scented candles and after about a year and a bit of selling these candles my lovely 16 year old cat at the time had sadly been injured and was having a lot of problems with her usual routine, this really made me feel worse because the thought of losing my best friend just increased my anxiety. Luckily she stayed with us for another year with lots of more happy memories created until she was ready to leave us and cross over to her next life.
After she left I decided to change my brand and create these candles just for people who love candles and love what candles do for them.

Since I have started LuxeScentsByRhi a lot has happened, I attended 2 market stalls in my local area which was a huge milestone for me, it was difficult but I somehow managed to make roughly £180 just from both market stalls. I am very proud of how well I did especially since I have never done anything like that in my entire life. My business was also featured in comfygirlscurls website which felt really amazing too.

My dream for this business is to help people with similar struggles to me and ensure they have a better day, night, week or month just from smelling and looking at my candles. Throughout the next for years I hope that my candles will be in coffee shops and local stores, I also hope to attend more market stalls and help more of you who suffer from anxiety ,etc. I really do want to make people happy by smelling candles and lighting them.
