A beautiful thing is never perfect.

I have always loved textiles - colour and texture have always inspired me. I started out as a knitwear designer for a well known high street store and after a stint at buying I decided to re-train as a secondary school teacher. I loved teaching but after ten years I wanted more time to relax, spend time with my family, design and make.

Little Grey Button began in my garden studio six years ago. I work on all kinds of fabrics and often knit my own to create unique products.

I love taking photographs and time outside is so important to me. I am inspired by all natural things and collect ideas from the countryside and woodlands of Derbyshire.
