Art was my best subject at school, however I was steered towards a different career path in life and as a result I work in engineering. A few of years ago I realised that art and creating wonderful things was still important to me along with a need to look after my mental health more. I was driven to do something creative away from the pressures of my day job and with this I stumbled across a mosaic course, I decided to attend and I was immediately hooked. I love how a piece of mosaic comes together and the joy I feel when a ceramic piece fits perfectly into place. Kay's mosaic creations was born.
I generally work with Portuguese unglazed porcelain tiles as I love the matt pastel colours that are available. Mosaic is also very adaptable, not only as art pieces but it can so easily be applied to practical pieces. I am happy to carry out custom orders, feel free to get in touch if you have an idea or project you would like me to work on.
