Wood & Craft are what I do, look in my shop why don't you!

I have had a long interest in the arts and crafts. My primary interest is in wood. I like to visit art galleries, museums and craft exhibitions which spark off ideas to use in my work. I like to try and create objects that have an unusual design or composition so making them a little different from those commercially made.
I am based in south-west Devon just a few miles from the coast and work from home. My interest in the arts started from my own simple attraction to things creative and woodwork lessons at school. I then went on to do a photography course at art college and spent a career in photography and illustration until retirement.
Being where I live in a rural area of great beauty I like to go walking which also gives me a good source of ideas. Sometimes I take my lovable and playful dog, Ella. She loves to find sticks, the bigger the better, which she breaks up into small pieces but sometimes just wants to bring one home even though it might be twice her length! She is a labradoodle and just over three years old. A great companion indeed.
