Hello and Welcome to my Folksy store! I'm really excited (and a bit nervous!) about selling my goods to you!

My name is Corinne and I am an insanely crazy dog-mum.
I have been making candles and wax melts for around 2 years and fell in love with making, after realising that I could use the dregs of wax at the bottom of a burnt-out candle as melts so that I wasn't wasting all of the gorgeous fragrance in there - I couldn't let it go to waste after (probably) spending too much on the candle in the first place!
I decided to experiment with making candles and melts from scratch and over the last couple of years have learnt so much. I feel like now is as good a time as any to start selling my goodies, and to make space for more!

Each item is made by me, using 100% soy wax and vegan-friendly fragrances, colours and glitters. Candle containers are always Recyclable, Reusable or Repurposed - you may recognise the shapes of some containers now and then, from their former uses. I am also always on the lookout for something a little bit special which could make the perfect container so keep your eyes peeled for one off beauties! There will never be two of my products exactly the same.

So where did Green Finger Candle Co. get it's name from? Green is absolutely my favourite colour - it's an incredibly powerful colour, reminding me of growth, new life and I find it very calming. I had a difficult period of poor mental health and I found being outside and surrounding myself with greenery (normally plants) really helped. Further to that - I'm also a bit of a novice gardener and love being outside, tending to my garden and seeing beautiful plants flourish, hence being "Green Finger"! I will be using home dried and eventually home-grown botanicals in my products. I want to be more environmentally friendly by using recyclable packaging - or reusable e.g. plastic bubble wrap which has been used before.

My other interests include my dog (obviously), watching True Crime documentaries on Netflix and spending time with my nearest and dearest. Eventually, I'd love to retire and have an older dogs' retreat so that they can live out their last days in total happiness, and spend my days surrounded by gorgeous fur balls and being able to make and do whenever I feel like it! But for now, I'll surround myself with MY gorgeous furry ball of energy and make when I can around full-time, demanding work!
