Hello there!
I'm Catherine an illustrator / designer working from my home studio in North Derbyshire creating illustrations inspired by the simple things in life - good food, plants and the places and spaces we call home...
Having trained as a graphic designer, my work often has a simple minimalist feel with a retro vibe. Influenced by mid-century modern design, I love to use traditional mark making techniques for the beautiful and unexpected textures that emerge, combining these with digital media to create my illustrations available as greeting cards and art prints here in the shop.
In the spirit of living a simple sustainable life, (unless stated otherwise) my greetings cards are professionally printed in the UK, chlorine and heavy metal free onto FSC standard card, with each card sold helping to support the work of The Woodland Trust, wherever possible I try to use recycled packaging, to help reduce my impact on the environment. All Art Prints are protected in a eco-friendly biodegradable compostable cellophane made from vegetable starch.
