I make homemade delicious and scrumptious Fudge, Marshmallows and other awesome confectionery

Hi. My name is Jo and I'm a serial crafter! One of my first loves has always been sweets, chocolate and confectionery, especially fudge and marshmallows! You can honestly lose me for HOURS in an old fashioned sweet shop, my idea of heaven! One day I thought, wouldn't it be lovely to have my very own old fashioned sweet shop? And I wonder if I could make the treats I love so much myself and at home.

So, like all crafters, one day I thought, let's have a go! To be honest, my first attempts were... well... disastrous sticky messes to say the least! With me, my kitchen and poor Medley - my cat not looking or feeling much better! After a tantrum and a little weep, I pulled myself together, wiped down the kitchen and the cat and had another go, and then another and then another. After a bit I found that I could actually make delicious treats that my friends and family loved and that I loved making! I was pretty pleased with myself! I have learnt though, that you need patience, commitment but also a whole load of love to make tasty pieces of confectionery! Without love it just doesn't work!

Obviously I'm always trying to learn new skills, make new confectionery - chocolate is my next goal! Part of the pleasure is the adventure of making something new and creating a delicious treat that folk love and I feel proud of. I hope to keep making delicious creations that make people happy. I don't think my tiny sweet shop will make me rich but it certainly makes me happy and if I can share the love and happiness of delectable confectionery with others, what more could I ask for? :)

PS. Medley no longer helps with the creative process. She keeps an eye on proceeding from the comfort her perch in the living room!
