Welcome to the world of The Creative Spirit.
The shop here on Folksy.
Our shop contains items that have been hand-crafted in the Spider-Wolf Leather Workshop here in Kelloholm in the county of Dumfries and Galloway. The workshop was created in the summer of 2024 and is the hub of all our Leather and Wood creations.
Jason is a self taught leather artist of nearly 20 years, creating astonishingly beautiful gifts using recycled, reclaimed and sustainable exotic leathers, bone, wood and antler.
As well as design, dying leather is also an art form and we are forever making ground breaking straides in our marbled products. Using the Suminagashi techniques to disperse water based dye on and into high solidity liquids can and does give remarkable colour patterns. We really do bring art into leathercraft.
Exotic leathers, pelt and bone are either antique or recycled from jewellery and clothing. Skins are a by product of the food industry and the bone and antler are collected from road kill, natural shed and culling. We do not work with animal parts from endangered species, caged animals, ivory or items procured from the human slave trade.
New for 2025 are hardwood staffs and staves. Preserving our environment is very important to us and we fully support CITES.
Spider-Wolf Leather workshops only source our hardwood from reputable companies that work closely with CITES (the convention on International Trade In Endangered Species of wild fauna and flora) to ensure that the woods supplied are not directly affecting deforestation. All our timber is sourced under EUTR conditions. (European Timber Regulations) Find out more at www.cites.org and www.forestry.gov.uk
Along with the Spider-Wolf Leather Workshop, Jason also sells his art here on Folksy. From clocks and boats painted on reclaimed wood canvases to 3D wooden fish and clay mushrooms.
Sustainability, the environment and combating climate change are at the forefront of our business ethos and we do everything possible in reducing our carbon footprint. For what we do now echoes in Eternity.

Found this super cool dragon on a search to find a super unique gift for my husband for our anniversary. I found Steve the dragon and messaged Jason at Spider Wolf Leather to see if he was able to ship to the US. To my luck he was and the process was extremely easy. Jason made sure to keep in contact with me while Steve made his final journey home. I can’t wait to give this to my husband! Thanks again and highly recommend
