A gorgeous unique accessory this brooch has been made out of remnants from my other life as a costume designer.
Those small scraps of fabric are just too precious to discard. As many are from limited supplies of textiles from many fabric shopping trips and most have been hand dyed by me (to get just the 'precise' colour I desire!) these make for truly one of a kind accessories. Each one is numbered as a one of a kind item.
Featuring such fabrics as silks, brocades and velvets the leaf shapes have been edged with gold thread and co-ordinated with a crocheted flower and (often vintage) perfectly matched button.
As there are 3 stitched layers of fabric plus a felt back this is a sturdy brooch with safety brooch pin and 'gilfling' label hand stitched on the reverse.
Measures (approx) 3.5 inches/9 cm's x 3 inches/7 cm's
