This lily was made as a trial to see what could be achieved with the rainbow on black iridescent glass. The centre of the finished lily is made of gold mica. It took four firings to add the detail and shape. Stamens were made for the lily from glass stringers and small transparent glass pieces and then finished with real gold lustre. Each one was assembled and then slumped into shape. These were then glued into the centre for added detail. Then, it has a wall-mount fitting glued to the back for displaying on a wall. The lily measures approximately 25cm x25cm x 9cm and is in a handmade box for easy transportation, with its certificate of authenticity.
