Full description
This is a wheel thrown cup with a gently flared, conical form set on a narrow foot ring, left unglazed to reveal the natural clay beneath. The exterior is textured with fine vertical carving, allowing a rich bronze brown glaze to catch on the ridges while flashes of turquoise blue break through in the recesses, creating a deep, iridescent surface. The interior is finished in a soft pale blue glaze, offering a calm contrast to the dramatic exterior. A striking, tactile piece with a rich, textural character, equally suited to tea or everyday use.
