You can use any type of yarn with appropriate sized hooks to create different sized/coloured/textured fox with this pattern.
Using the yarn (2ply crochet thread or embroidery thread) given in the pattern you can make a 4-5 cm tall toy.

You will need to have a basic understanding of crochet (US) terminology to understand this pattern.
