Full description
Guardian & Protector is an original Linocut print inspired by my heritage roots and that of Chinese guardian lions. Traditionally these ornamental statutes are placed in front of imperial places, temples, homes - they are believed to have powerful protective qualities and bring prosperity.
Oil based relief inks on 270gsm high quality Bread and Butter cartridge paper.
I printed this linocut in my studio at the Bath Artist Printmakers. I used a traditional book press along with traditional printmaking methods; due to the nature of the print process all prints will have slight variation making them unique to you.
Paper size A5 (21cm x 14.9). Will fit a standard A5 frame.
A small edition of 50, signed, titled and numbered by the artist, me! The print you will receive may not necessarily be the edition number shown.
PLEASE NOTE: each print will also be signed with a Chinese artist seal ! Shown in the fourth & fifth image.
The print will be wrapped in tissue paper and sent in a protective brown tube or wrapped in tissue paper and protected in mountboard/pulpboard/cardboard for posting. Minimal plastic and packaging will be used. Recycled where possible.

How to care for this print:
Remove packaging and frame the print behind glass. A mount or a box frame is advised so the print does not come in direct contact with the glass. Place/hang away from strong sunlight.
