The inspiration for this soap dish came from a simple, daily frustration: the dreaded 'soggy soap.' I love using artisan bar soaps, but I found that most decorative dishes just let the soap sit in a puddle, wasting the product and creating a mess on the sink. I wanted to design something that looked modern and architectural but functioned perfectly. By engineering a removable, high-drainage grid, I created a way for air to circulate 360 degrees around the bar. It’s a small design tweak that makes a huge difference in the morning routine.

Keep your favourite bar of soap perfectly dry and long-lasting with this smart, made to order two-piece soap dish.
The design is a direct solution to a common bathroom problem: soggy soap! This dish features a distinct, textured exterior with vertical ribbing, designed right here in my studio. It holds a snugly fitting, grid-style drainage inset in bright yellow. This grid allows air to circulate around the soap, letting it dry completely after use.
When it’s time to clean, simply remove the yellow inset and rinse it. The smooth base tray collects any moisture, protecting your bathroom surfaces.
This entire item is 3D printed using PLA, which is a material derived from renewable, starch-based sources (like corn). It is designed to be tough enough for daily use near water. The cool baby blue and bright yellow combination adds a pop of modern colour to your space.
