Snowdrops original reduction Lino print

This print of snowdrops growing in a teacup ended up as a five layer reduction print with two layers involving colour gradients of ink. As it is a reduction print the process has involved destroying the block as I carve away more for each layer, therefore it cannot be repeated and there is a total of 12 prints in this edition. This print would make a lovely edition to any home. Snowdrops represent hope, purity and new beginnings as well as being one of the birth flowers for January. In Greek mythology they are linked to Persephone’s return from the underworld. The images measure approximately 5 x 7 inches printed with Caligo Safewash inks on Somerset Satin cotton paper. As is the nature of Lino prints there maybe some variation in the ink transfer through the edition, each layer is printed and carved by hand. These are sent out unmounted but well packaged and flat. Each print is signed, dated and numbered out of 12. Please be aware that different screen setting may affect the colour.
