'The leaves are turning' is a little celebration of autumn colour and garden life. This one-of-a-kind mixed-media artwork features a charming folk bird busy foraging amongst the flowers and grasses. In the foreground, I've added stylised flowers and grasses to create a little autumn garden for the bird to explore. Tiny seed beads add subtle flashes of sparkle amongst the foliage. The combination of fabric, paper, stitch and embellishment gives this piece a lovely handcrafted character, with plenty of little details to discover.
