In 2003, as a keen gardener I wanted some cane tops, but they were all very boring and plastic. Working in my pottery one day messing around with a bit of left-over clay, I started making a toadstool, my husband came in and asked what I was making, and I said not sure! He came back with a bamboo cane and said "Cane Tops" - boom excellent idea. I have sold them at various garden shows in the UK and here on Folksy.
