"O Fortuna!" This mixed bead boho style necklace has a combination of glass and natural stone beads with fresh water pearls, mother of pearl and turquoise gemstone beads, together with gold plated charms. Designed to be worn on the decolletage so that the charms and dangling beads act as a statement piece, ideal with your boho style garments. The beads and charms on this hippie bohemian accessory piece have been very carefully selected and brought together with gold plated copper wire and findings. O Fortuna is embellished with a gold plated Wheel of Fortune Tarot card charm, a Hamsa hand which is a symbol of good fortune, as well as a coin and turquoise skull bead. This necklace has been pieced together with Thai silk fashioned into a cord, which sits around the nape of the neck. All necklaces and bracelets have an extender chain for size variation and to add a bit of length. The overall length of this necklace when stretched out is 21.5 inches. The items on this necklace are where the inspiration comes from. Inspired by the idea of talismanic jewellery and good luck charms, this piece takes her title from Carl Orff's O Fortuna from his cantata Carmina Burana. Much of my work is influenced by Nature and her forces and the O Fortuna necklace draws upon the Wheel of Fortune, the hand of Fate and the natural unpredictability of life as inspiration for this creative piece. O Fortuna is for the unique wearer who likes to make a statement with their style.
Some components may contain nickel, therefore if you have an allergy, please be aware that it is not guaranteed that this piece is nickel free. Although findings such as earring hooks, clasps and jump rings are bought new, please note that they are mostly nickel free, however some findings and components may have been purchased some years ago before nickel free products were made so widely available. I also use a variety of metal components from a range of sources for my pieces, therefore if you have allergies please be advised of this when purchasing jewellery from me.
