About this item
The Victorians had a remarkable ability to combine function with beauty, and this photograph captures that perfectly. The intricate workmanship of these traditional bearing oilers is a reminder of a highly skilled craft that has largely disappeared from modern machinery. The image has a subtle softness and timeless quality, highlighting the texture, patina and delicate mechanical details of this fascinating piece of industrial history. All prints supplied unmounted. Printed on Permajet 271 paper and available in sizes A5, A4 and A3. A5 and A4 are despatched in board backed envelope, A3 rolled in a postal tube.
