About this item
One off sterling silver ring with beautiful peanut obsidian stone. Peanut Obsidian is a variety of Perlite and a naturally occurring amorphous volcanic glass with high water content. The red spheres which make this crystal so unique are actually feldspar crystals. These have been stained red over time by a coating of Hematite. It was discovered in Alamos, Sonora, Mexico. Interestingly, no other deposit of this mineral has ever been discovered. The ring is handmade from recycled silver. Silver melted, hammered in to ring shank, bezel made with pierced back to allow the stone to be seen from the other side too. Unique design and the quite big stone makes a statement.
