Full description
These beautiful Lapwings (locally known here in the Highlands as Peesies!) are hand felted from soft wool, using a single felting needle.
Each Peesie has a wire armature, copper wire legs and real black glass eyes. Each one is mounted on a section of upcycled whisky cask lid, finished with danish oil to bring out the rich colour of the wood. As each bird is handmade, please remember that each will vary slightly in size and expression, but just each has been made with the best care and attention to detail!
Each Lapwing measures approx 15cm tall x 11cm wide.
Please Note: Needle felted sculptures and embroidaries are not toys, and are intended for display purposes only. Keep away from children and pets due to small parts, and risk of choking. To keep your felted piece in tip top condition, keep away from direct sources of heat and moisture.
