About this item
Low Tide - coastal art seascape made using offcuts from upcycled materials, including fabric and lace. Low Tide Exposed wooden sea breakers covered with wet seaweed Where the seabirds like to sit Small pools of sea water lay across the sand. Soon all will be covered by the returning sea. (c) S Lindley I've used a variety of embroidery stitches to attach the fabric pieces to a piece of vintage fabric. All hand stitched with no machine stitching or glue. I've added needlefelted wool seabirds. Two pieces of fabric represent grass at the bottom of the picture . The artwork is attached to a piece of wool fabric and placed in a white wood box frame without glass. Framed it measures 32 x 27 cm.
