About this item
This an original drawing with small pieces of collage. It was made by drawing on to the back of a sheet of white paper which had been placed on to an inked glass plate in black. The small pieces of tissue paper were then attached. The smudges are an inherent part of the process and add to the overall painterly effect. There is no room for error and it cannot be repeated. It is therefore unique and original. The image measures 20cm square, is within a white mount and the black frame measures 33cm square which is glazed.

I love this method of drawing as it produces a painterly effect. Placement of the tissue paper (one of which is part of a printed paper napkin) is deliberately placed off centre.
