About this item
This mixed media box frame conjures something of the magic and mystery of the legend of King Arthur. It was inspired by the title of a book by Mary Stewart, The Crystal Cave, part of her Arthurian trilogy. So here we have the sparkling cave. On the top is Arthur's sword, Excalibur, embedded in the stone. Beside it is a dragon's head standard representing Arthur's family name of Pendragon. There's a statue of the Great Goddess, one of pagan Britain's main deities, and the atmospheric night sky has scudding clouds with holographic stars and a cratered moon. Two 'mourning moths' complete the scene. The black box frame is 24.5 cm square and can be wall mounted or displayed on a shelf. UK postage is included in the price.
