These cute toadstool mushrooms are made by needle felting with natural wool fibres. You can hang them on door and cupboard handles, on a Christmas tree, in the car....the list is endless!
These sweethearts are being sold as a set of 3.
I made my own colour mix of fibres for the cap because I wanted a variegated effect of different shades of orange and red. The stipes (stems) are mottled cream and the gills under the cap are white. They have mercerised cotton loops in off-white.
Did you know that the “spots” on toadstools aren’t actually all round? They are uneven flecks of the veil that cover young toadstools and as the mushroom grows the veil does not and splits into irregular pieces.
Measurements, NOT including loops:
Heights range from 5.2 cm to 5.7 cm.
Widths range from 4.3 cm to 5 cm.
One of the great things about my needle felted creations is that because they are made with natural wool fibres they are completely biodegradable and when their life as ornaments are over, they will break down naturally as organic matter.
