I have taken the last few months off from woodturning to concentrate on my botanical water colour work a few examples of which you can view on my Instagram account. However, I have picked up the chisels again and will be adding new items and old favourites. The latest additions are two attractive sycamore drinks trays but more items to come.
The Ash for this brush pot came from a tree that I had cut back a gew years ago. Although small some of the pieces lent themselves to this type of functional object.

Full description
This generously sized brush pot, or desk tidy has been turned in ash and is shaped to enhance the grain pattern. The pot has been burnished and waxed to give a warm strawlike glow.
