Pincushion and Needlebook Set

A handmade pincushion and needlebook set. All pieces are individually hand cut. The pincushion has a firm recycled circular cardboard base covered with turquoise/pink floral cotton. This has a turquoise ribbon trim with a pink flower shaped button decoration. The pincushion part is made from bright pink felt stuffed with fibrefill and fixed firmly into the circular cardboard base. A turquoise felt flower shape has been blanket stitched to the pincushion with a central pink flower shaped button. Five pearl headed pins are included. Measures: Dia: 3.5”(9cm). H: approx. 2”(5cm) The needlebook is a lightweight padded card folded to form a book, covered with turquoise/pink floral cotton. The outside has a turquoise felt square centred on the front with a floral flower appliqued with pink blanket stitch and a central pink flower-shaped button. Inside the book is lined with turquoise felt hand stitched around the edge with blanket stitch in light blue embroidery cotton. A leaf of turquoise felt has been inserted with toning colours of embroidery cotton. The book has two turquoise ribbon ties to close. Measures: Open: 8”(20cm) x 4”(10cm) Closed: 4”(10cm) x 4”(10cm) The pincushion and needlebook come in a plain white card box suitable to give as a gift, if necessary.
