Smooth stone hand painted with a metallic copper otter design My storybook animal spirit stones are inspired by the stories I tell myself when I walk in the forest near my home. I created these unusual, quirky ink drawing stones because I wanted to decorate my bedroom with my stories, words and poetry. I make these pebbles individually - each is one of my original ink paintings. The ink I use on these stones is waterproof when dry and is very difficult to remove, but it is possible for the designs to get scratched so please take care of your artworks to protect them from damage. I have had the first stones I made in my bedroom for more than fifteen years and their appearance remains unchanged. The feel of the natural stone is intended to be part of my artwork design but if you would like a shiny protective glaze coating your stone then I will add this for you.
