By using close-weave cotton the details of the fine veins show through and are not blurred by a more open-weave fabric such as linen. I love this plant for Cyanotype it presses well and looks lovely all year as a house plant too.

Original Art on Fabric- The familiar house plant Maidenhair Fern takes center stage in this Botanical Hoop. Handmade on Cotton Sateen it highlights the delicate marking in the leaf made through Cyanotype 'photography'. The colour of blue ombres through from light to mid-blue set off by the gorgeous Prussian Blue background, in such a pretty shape within the circle.
The back is finished with white felt and a ribbon is added to hang the hoop, it would look equally lovely in a suitable stand on any shelf or dresser.

This hoop is named 'Delta' and is numbered and is an original artwork. It measures approximately 6 ".
The beech hoop is British-made and lightly waxed to protect it. The Hoop comes carefully protected in a clear bag and care instructions are included- Dust only do not wash. As with all art, it should be displayed out of direct sunlight, and not in areas of high humidity such as bathrooms. It will be posted in a protective box.
