About this item
A colourful and romantic image in blue, red and gold. Layers of felt, organza shot with gold, turquoise chiffon and beautiful woven ribbons form the base onto which beaded stitched felt and wool-tops form the main shapes. A heat gun has been used to distort and melt the surface to increase the textures.The image is 15cm x 15cm and mounted within a white wood box frame measuring 23cm x 23cm. The frame is deep enough to comfortably stand unsupported or can be hung using the bracket on the back.

My designs are inspired by my love of the textiles work of the Sami of Northern Europe and the colourful and stylised images of the natural world in Persian manuscript paintings.
