Recycled brooch pendant from recycled materials handmade in UK by Alison Bailey Smith in Wirral and presented in a vibrant pink box, making it a perfect gift for those interested in sustainable style. The convertible brooch is made from wire reclaimed from old televisions, re-purposed plastic from packaging (Chocolate Orange wrappers plus red plastic from conditioner tubes) and repurposed metal with silver plated wire recovered from another craftsperson, and can be worn with supplied brown rubber cord with silvery fittings. A recycled spring provides the means to attached the ribbon. One piece of jewellery that can be worn in two different ways.
The fabulous pink box is not stated to be recycled but bought as overstock from supplier. Where possible I use recycled materials, often I purchase from other craftspeople or suppliers who are discontinuing working in wire or stocking particular items. I am to reduce waste in what ever I select. I chose carefully to continue my aesthetic and brand. Pink and green have long been my signature packaging colours so these were perfect and a good price and shape for pendants.
