About this item
4 lengths of ribbon, naturally dyed with walnut to give pale brown shades. Finished with a large linen button. 2 x 1m silk chiffon 2 x 1m muslin ribbon Width varied between 2.5 and 5 cms and because these are offcuts from sari-making, they are uneven, imperfect and ideal for embroidery or mixed media art work. Though mordanted and well rinsed, I cannot guarantee colour-fastness nor light-fastness, this being the nature of natural dyestuffs. Do not soak, keep away from prolonged bright sun. Natural dyestuffs produce wonderful colours, but dye penetration is often less than commercial dyes and more variable. Please do not expect a uniform colour.
