About this item
A beautifully illustrated letter 'N', 95 mm w x 87 mm h, incorporating an image of trees, executed in watercolour and gouache on Bockingford hot pressed watercolour paper. This image is one of many that I will produce using calligraphic and constructed letters with images incorporating various subjects and media. I prefer to keep the images as spontaneous as possible, simply enjoying colours, shapes and texture rather than producing photo realist images. Watching the birds in the garden in the Spring triggered the idea of starting with birds, particularly when they are caught in 'movement', dramatic and beautiful. The watercolour paper is a beautiful soft white.
