Cowslip Suncatcher Stained Glass Yellow Spring Flower 006

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique. A Cowslip, which I designed for a commission in 2013 and then mislaid my pattern. Now come back to life and I decided to make another in time for spring. It is a simple floral design, of a very pretty yellow flower with green rounded leaves. The five little yellow flower heads are each made from 4 little pieces of glass, so the flower comprises 25 pieces of glass all individually cut, shaped, copper foiled and soldered. The suncatcher hangs from a silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the flower which is 12.5 cm high. This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece even when making the same pattern. It will make a lovely present for anyone. It looks absolutely beautiful hanging in the window where it shines and catches the light and welcomes in the sunshine. A lovely present at any time for someone you love and is guaranteed to be totally unique.
