Full description
Stamen pot made from recycled materials - wire reclaimed from televisions, the red plastic ribbon used at the launch of The Green Gallery at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum and bought stamens. Each piece is made by hand and many hours going into their creation - this one took years as it was originally designed as a bangle and I recently added the pot to change its purpose when I was working at the Williamson as press officer and voluntary community engagement officer. I use textile techniques in metal, wrapping, rolling and overstitching with random knotting.
Designed by Alison Bailey Smith in Birkenhead
