About this item
This is a gorgeous figurative sculpture and would look stunning in anyone's home. The glaze I've made has a wonderful quality with various colours and tones showing through. It’s approximately 27cm tall, 12cm width and 9cm depth, so one of my smaller pieces. I have made a series of figurative sculptures over the years, based on my love of life drawing going back to my university days. This is one of my favourites both in its form and colour. The sculptures are made from coiling, starting from the base and working up the torso. It is completely hollow throughout. I hope you like it!

I developed a range of figurative sculptures, with voluptuous curves, large bellies, breasts and bottoms. They are made using a hand building method of coils, over a number of days, drying in between. After the first bisque firing, I then decorate my sculptures with hand made glazes, which often are unpredictable in the kiln. I am very much a maker and slowly becoming a seller, I find it far easier to be at my studio making but wanted to share and sell my work before my studio looks like the teracotta army!
