About this item
applique, machine & hand embroidered zombie panda in silk knickers. a pandemic pal in pants, suitable for any kind of apocalypse. because really, after this long, who is bothering with clothes anymore? zombie panda measures 15cm (6 inches) from the top of his stupid ears to the tips of his lumpen toes. soft cotton lawn and coloured cotton fabrics have been hand snipped & appliqued onto a base fabric of cotton calico that i've hand dyed a corpse-grey colour. the details are drawn on with free hand machine embroidery, and further textural embellishments of pretty pustules & silky entrails are hand embroidered. panda is embroidered front & back, and has an embroidered heart on his bottom. tiny bespoke silk knickers with lace & trimmings & embroidery have been painstakingly handmade just for dress up fun. panda has been made entirely on a domestic sewing machine – there is no computerised wizardry in my work - everything is cut, stitched & drawn freehand by me. zombie panda is made from heavy weight calico. he’s stuffed with polyester filling (CE & BS5852) and finished by hand. i pre-wash all of my fabrics so they’re soft and shouldn’t shrink if washed. safety! please note this is for decorative purposes only and is intended for adult collectors only. zombies are NOT TOYS and should be kept away from small children. my design is based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart and is used with permission. © fiona thomson 2022
