I designed this to decorate my own garden. Like what I had made so much I made this one for my shop.

A stained glass suncatcher butterfly made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
Though this is indeed a suncatcher, unlike my usual glass pieces, this one is very definitely not designed or intended to hang from a chain in the window.
It has been carefully constructed so that it can be used as a garden ornament, outdoors. It has a strong wire hook on the back so it can hang directly from a nail or hook in a wall or fence. Certainly not from a chain where it could swing vulnerably in the British weather.
This is a butterfly. Mainly red but I've used all the colours of the rainbow along the edges of the wings so it is vibrantly colourful.
It measures 18cm x 13cm and designed to hang from the wire loop at the top in the centre.
The body and wings are strengthened on the back with strong wire securely soldered in place and the wire loop is attached to this. You can see this in the last photo.
I originally designed this as a decoration for the trellis on my new sweet pea trough made by lovely husband Bob. I also made a dragonfly and a bee so you can find one each of these as separate listings.
This is absolutely individual. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
The collage photo shows my new sweet pea box with the prototypes of my new garden designs in place. I regret my garden has all brick walls. I would prefer to display against lovely white.
