Full description
Sometimes you find something in an antique shop which just demands to be made into a coat rack. Such were these, what I guess were the wooden patterns (probably ash) used in the casting of golf clubs, which I have screwed and glued to a beautiful reclaimed mahogany panel. All five of the clubs are of slightly different design and from the look of them they have probably been steam bent before carving so that the line of the grain runs up the shaft. I have planed some of the depth out of the heads so that they sit more neatly on the back board. As you would expect, this coat rack is absolutely unique and would be a quirky talking point in any club house (or golfer's den) in the country. L 810 mm x H 115 mm x D 110 mm. waxed finish.
